OUR PROCESS

Introduction

Every collaboration begins with a personal introduction. We meet in your home, workplace or on-site to listen to your story, your aspirations and the way you want to live or work. Whenever possible, we join the project at an early stage — this is where the greatest opportunity lies to create a thoughtful layout that seamlessly fits within the architectural framework.

It is a moment to build trust, to understand what matters most, and to define the foundation for a design journey that is both personal and profoundly meaningful. After this conversation, you receive a clear, tailored offer in which your wishes and requirements are translated into a proposal that aligns seamlessly with your vision.

Design concept

In this phase we translate your wishes and requirements into the first spatial studies. We explore different layouts and circulation patterns, testing how proportions, balance and functionality can best serve daily life. The program of requirements is carefully integrated into the design, ensuring that every square meter is used thoughtfully and purposefully. Alongside the spatial design, we create moodboards that capture both atmosphere and functionality. These boards show how materials, colours and textures work together, and how the overall mood supports your vision.

This stage forms the foundation of the project: a concept built on our design principles, yet always shaped in close alignment with your personal wishes. The result is a clear direction and a first glimpse of how your future home or workplace will look and feel.

Preliminary design

In the preliminary design phase, the concept becomes tangible. We translate the chosen layout into detailed 3D visualisations, giving you a clear and realistic impression of your future interior. These visuals allow you to step inside the design before it is built, to see proportions, atmosphere and flow come to life. More than images, they are a tool to explore, refine and optimise every element.

At this stage, we also develop a comprehensive palette of colours, materials and finishes. These are not just presented, but experienced: you can see, touch and feel the materials, and understand how they come together into a harmonious whole. Furniture layouts and a carefully considered lighting plan are created to complete the design, because good light is indispensable for the right atmosphere and experience. It enhances balance and livability, as function and emotion come together in harmony.

Your feedback plays an essential role: together we review the design, fine-tune details and make adjustments where needed. The result is a preliminary plan that not only meets your expectations, but often surpasses them — a clear and inspiring vision of the home or space to come.

Final design

In the final design phase, the plans are translated into a complete and executable design package. Bespoke cabinetry, architectural detailing, and the selected colours and materials are refined and set down in measured drawings. Together with the lighting plan and electrical plan this package provide a clear foundation for installers.

All elements are combined into a detailed set of documents that provide clarity and direction for the building team. This package forms the foundation for contractors, interior builders and craftsmen to bring the design to life with precision.

For you, this phase offers certainty: a fully resolved design of the entire home, prepared down to the last detail, ready to move seamlessly into realization.

Realization

With the final design in place, the project moves into realization. Based on the approved design package, contractors and suppliers prepare their offers and the execution phase can begin. If desired, Wicherson Interiors offers optional aesthetic site supervision to ensure that every detail is executed exactly as intended. This may include reviewing technical drawings from suppliers, monitoring milestones during construction, and conducting regular aesthetic inspections. In this way, the high quality and integrity of the design are safeguarded at every step. When requested, we also attend site meetings with contractors or architects to represent your interests and assist in decision-making. This ensures that your interior design vision remains fully protected throughout the realization process.

Styling & completion

As a final step, we offer the possibility to complement the interior with carefully curated styling. This may include art, accessories and greenery, selected to enrich the design and reflect your personal style. We work with you to ensure that every piece resonates with the atmosphere of the home, adding depth, warmth and individuality. With a sharp eye for mood and detail, we create a harmonious composition in which all elements of the design come together.
